HOW TO MAKE

How to Make Covered Buttons

This is the basic method for making fabric-covered buttons. By using a back part without a "shank," you can attach various parts, allowing for a wide range of uses beyond simple buttons.

How to Use an Acrylic Template

The central hole of the acrylic template is approximately the size of the finished button. Since the fabric design is visible through it, you can determine the cutting position while checking the part you want to display as a button and the part to be wrapped on the back.

Installation of plastic back parts

To attach keychains or ball chains, it is first necessary to attach the dedicated back parts. The 22mm size is glued directly, but for the 38mm size, it is necessary to use metal back parts. (※In the case of metal back parts, it is necessary to apply a slightly larger amount of adhesive around the outer edge.)

Installation of keychain, strap, ball chain

Keychain parts are connected using a C-ring. The mobile strap and ball chain are attached as they are, but if you are concerned about the orientation of the parts, you may use a C-ring.

Installation of Pins

Attach the pin parts (base side) using glue dots. If you are concerned about the instability of the glue dots, please use adhesive. Although it is omitted in the video, to prevent a decrease in adhesive strength, be sure to wipe off any oil from the adhesive surface beforehand.

Installation of Magnet

Magnets (ferrite) are attached using glue dots. If you are concerned about the instability of the glue dots, please use adhesive. Also, since magnets may have iron powder or other substances on their surface, be sure to wipe the adhesive surface with a cloth beforehand.

How to Make Rosettes

By combining a fabric-covered button (mainly 47mm) with pleated ribbon and flat ribbon, you can easily create a rosette. If you use inkjet fabric sheets for the button design, you can create an original design tailored to the scene in which it will be used.

[For Hand Press Machine]How to Make Covered Buttons

You can make covered buttons using thicker fabric or leather with a hand press machine and a special mold. However, please note that the parts are completely different from the type you hammer by hand.

[For Hand Press Machine]How to Use a Fabric & Leather Cutter

This is a cutter used to precisely cut fabric or leather to the specified size when making covered buttons with a hand press machine. (※ The cut-out size differs from that of hand-punched covered buttons.)

Thank you for your continued support of our shop.

On July 30, 2025, the U.S. government issued an executive order eliminating the de minimis exemption, which had previously allowed low-value imported goods to enter the United States duty-free. As a result, customs duties are now applied to parcels containing merchandise shipped to the U.S. as of August 29, 2025. In response to this regulatory change, Japan Post has suspended acceptance of EMS shipments (goods) and other mail items destined for the United States.

We have explored alternative shipping options; however, we have determined that it is not currently feasible to offer our customers a satisfactory service due to the complexity of the required procedures and the significantly higher shipping costs involved.

Therefore, we will be suspending all shipments to the United States until further notice.
We will announce any updates as soon as the situation improves. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
