The back parts of the handpress type cover buttons are made of aluminum, making them relatively soft, and you can remove the looped feet with pliers or similar tools.
Although they may be slightly warped, the holes remain, so it is possible to use them as two-hole flat back parts.

The back part of the handpress type cover button will be finished in a way that it sinks in about 2-3mm on the inside. Therefore, when viewed from the side, the back part is not visible.

When creating a hair tie, by removing the legs of the footed parts with pliers or similar tools, the back part will have two holes.
*Depending on the thickness of the rubber, if it seems difficult to pass through, please widen the holes with a "Needle" or similar tool.

By threading the rubber through the back part in advance and making a knot on the shell side, you can create a hair tie with the knot hidden.

Gluedot is a gel-like double-sided tape that does not dry or harden.
Also, due to its nature, it can hold relatively well if used with stationary items like magnets, but since hairpins involve movement, it is not highly recommended.
It is advisable to use commercially available metal adhesives for fixing.

For your first purchase, we recommend the "Covered Button Kit."
This set includes the tools, while for other parts sets, you will need to purchase the tools separately.

Depending on the thickness of the fabric, the depth of the recess in the back part may not be sufficient, and the plastic dedicated back part may appear slightly raised.

Typically, regular push buttons are made with a type of tool that is pressed with the fingers, but those labeled for a press machine require a dedicated hand press machine (+ mold).
Please note that the types of parts are completely different, and there is no compatibility at all.

The transparent part of the punch tool uses soft silicone rubber to make it easier to remove the finished covered button,
and it is relatively easy to deform. While distortion rarely affects production, if you are concerned, soaking it in hot water for several minutes may improve the situation.

Please cut the flat ribbon to make it.
If you want to cut it in a reverse V shape, you can fold the ribbon in half vertically and cut it diagonally with scissors to create a nice shape.
